Section 107(a) of CERCLA provides a six-year statute of limitations for plaintiffs to recover their response costs from liable parties, including those who have settled their liability with the government. Section 113’s contribution right is subject to a shorter three-year statute of limitations. The citizen suit provision under RCRA does not contain a statute of limitations provision.
